When activating the MS Teams feature right after the installation process, you can additionally define notification settings in Teams in your global admin settings.

With notifications in Teams, our Smart Connect for Jira app (acting like a bot) will post issue updates into a separate (issue-related) MS Teams chat.

Based on the settings, you can decide what kind of issue updates to a linked issue should be posted.

Please be aware that this setting goes solely with Jira Software/business projects.
Notifications in Teams can be set-up for chats and channel conversations.
