Teams: Default settings

Decide on some default settings of the Teams feature in your Jira admin settings.

Choose between chat / channel conversation settings, chats and comments.

You can configure the default settings when creating a chat or posting into a channel. These can be overwritten for each project by the project admin.

Chat or channel conversation

Disable creation of chats or channel conversation

Choose if you’d like to disable chats / channel conversations or it you’d like to allow both.

Initial selection

Choose whether chat or channel conversation are initially selected when starting a Teams conversation or if users can decide among both (drop down).

Define sharing options for chats and channel conversations and choose who should be able to view the information in Jira.

Choose, if a notification comment should be added to the issue with a link to the Teams chat.
