1.4.1

We are happy to release the new version of our Outlook Calendars for Confluence! There is a lot going on, so let's dive right in.

Overview

Upgrading from 1.3.*

You should have no issue upgrading from the previous version, though there are some things to note:

  • Office 365 customers will need to re-login, since credentials are now stored more securely.
  • If you did not do the configuration before, but relied on the "Auto-Detect" setting, you will now have to configure the correct values. Our new wizard will support you with this task.

New Features

Bugfixes

  • Macro creation now works correctly again
  • Move over lots of components to Atlaskit to match new layout
  • Some fixes to permission determination (still ongoing, see known issues)
  • Performance improvements: First launch should be way faster (ongoing)
  • Reordering calendars does not flicker anymore

Known Issues

  • Detecting calendar permissions correctly is still ongoing.. A definite fix is targeted for 1.5.0 - if you notice any issues please let us know!

Details

Simplified Administration Page

With this release, we condensed the administration page and moved everything to one screen. In addition, there is a new auto-detect wizard which will detect your configuration much more reliably!

You can find the settings in your add-on section in Confluence under "OUTLOOK CALENDARS" → "Calendar Configuration".

Improved Exchange Support

We improved support for Exchange in a number of ways:

  • Autodiscover works now more reliable and can also detect login via domain username
  • Exchange 2010 support was added - please let us know in case you are still facing issues with this environment
  • Requests to the Exchange server (via EWS) are now routed via Confluence, so no data is leaving your environment

You should be able to use our auto-detect wizard to find the correct configuration for your Exchange environment!

Recurring Event Improvements

Recurring events got some love this release as well, you are now able to copy a series of events to your own calendar:

In addition, we now display an recurrence icon if the event is a series:
