We are rolling updates out in waves - usually the Office Add-In is first, while the COM Add-In will come a bit later. Also, we do have different release channels, so there also might be a delay. In the future we will have an option to change the release channel and to force check for a new version.

• Events in your calendar in Outlook can now be shared to the issue as well. Learn more about our integration with Outlook meetings on Meetings: Schedule meetings with your team from Jira .
  The meeting will be visible in Jira in the “Outlook Meetings” web panel and the connected meeting chat in the “Microsoft Teams” section. This feature requires Microsoft 365 for Jira and will not work with Outlook Email for Jira.

Adjustments

• In order to accommodate to some Jira Cloud API deprecations we had to make some adjustments to multiple parts of our app. If you encounter any weird behavior while searching for issues we would be happy to hear about this!

• Fixed a bug where “Parent issue” field was unavailable in the “Create issue” screen when creating an epic in a project without issue types with a higher hierarchy.

• Fixed a bug where you could only search within the summary when searching for epics in the “Parent” field.

• The modern Office add-in now adds the category “Jira” to an email thread when it is used to create an issue or added to an issue OFFice addin

• When searching for issues you now search for text in all text fields instead of just summary

Adjustments

• The organization field will no longer be pre-filled automatically when organizations are found for the sender of the email. This resulted in unexpected behaviour, as the request was then forwarded to all people in this organization. • When connecting to the new, bundled “Microsoft 365 for Jira” app, filter projects in the create issue screen by active projects

• Added a new setting to control what is added to the description field by default from an email (technical note: It controls what the content of the template variable <BODY> should use. This setting is useful, in case you don’t want to add the content of the email at all, esp. when sharing the full email conversation. Please note: this only applies when you don’t use the text selection to create an issue, text selection always takes precedence.

Open

• Updated the iOS and Android version of the add-in to use the desktop code. Previously iOS and Android would use a very old version, which did not have the latest fixes. Usability will be a bit less mobile optimized than before, but more custom fields are supported and connectivity is much improved. In case you notice any UI glitches, please reach out to our support.

• Support for the new Microsoft Edge view. This is only active for new installs for now, but after monitoring the compatibility will be activated for everyone soon. You can read more about this in our help article here: https://yasoon.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M365fJ/pages/2330985274 .
