JIRA for Outlook has the following features to accelerate your daily work and make JIRA easier to use.


Create and Update Issues 


With the add-on you can easily create new JIRA issues based on email content, upload the whole email or just parts of it.

  1. You have all available JIRA fields available in Outlook to create the new issues. 

  2. The email formatting is converted into the JIRA markup, for example lists and tables are taken over. 

  3. You can upload the email attachments to the issue. 

Once you created a new ticket you can easily update it. The issue is assigned to the email conversation and if you get new information from the sender you can add them to the existing issue. 



Put Emails in a JIRA Context 

Processed emails automatically get a JIRA mail icon. It will give you a clear overview of which emails are already assigned to an JIRA issue. Open the related issues for all mails in the same conversation to have all relevant information directly where you need them.



View Issue Changes in a JIRA News Feed in Outlook 

A JIRA News Feed summarizes all issue changes for you in Outlook. The Feed is arranged by issue and gives a clear and interactive overview. It shows the most important information like project, issue title, priority, assignee, due date and status. React directly to an update and comment, edit or update the issue within the feed.
