1.22 Installing the JIRA Add-on

Please Note

You need to be a JIRA administrator to do the initial setup of the add-on.

Atlassian Marketplace

To get started, please install the JIRA add-on via the Atlassian Marketplace. This applies to the JIRA cloud as well to the self-hosted version. You can do this in the admin panel of your JIRA instance. Search for "Outlook app" or "yasoon" to find us!

JIRA Admin Panel/ JIRA Configuration

Press "Free Trial" or " Buy now" to install the add-on. After the installation is completed, you'll be able to access the configuration via the new menu entry called "Outlook app". You will be guided through the next steps.


Basic Data

On the "Outlook App" page, you'll be asked to provide some basic data. This is used to manage future updates and handle your license.


Application Link

After you have created the company account, you'll see an configuration page. Depending on your JIRA instance, you'll have to do different steps next:

  • Cloud: Please follow the Cloud Guide to create a new application link
  • Server: Please create the application link by clicking "Add application link". In case there is an issue, please use the fallback guide.

Outlook Configuration

After you successfully created an Application Link (either manually for Cloud or automatically for Server) the last thing you have to do is configure Outlook.

  • Classical Windows Add-in: After creating an application link you will receive a link. Download the file and the add-in will automatically install. You can either send this link to all JIRA users, if you use stand-alone computers or enroll it centralized if you use a virtual environment. Also see the Installation Guide for Windows add-in users.
  • Office Add-in: The add-in is not yet available via the Office store. Therefore press "install via URL" and enter the link provided by yasoon. You can now either send this link to all JIRA users, or enroll it centralized. Also see the Installation Guide for Office add-in users.
